Most active during the day.
Prefer warm tropical and subtropical waters, generally in the range of 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F).
Inhabit coral reefs and surrounding sandy areas. Look in reef structures, on sand patches near reefs, and around rocky outcrops. Some species may nest in sandy areas near coral reefs.
